“Activist” for Anti-Israel Group with Ties to Obama Exposed as Terrorist

by Daniel Greenfield

I would put the odds of her being deported somewhere between those of Obama’s illegal alien relatives and an asteroid crashing into D.C.

An Arab-American community activist from the Chicago suburbs was arrested Tuesday on immigration charges for allegedly lying about her conviction for a deadly bombing more than 40 years ago in Israel.

Rasmieh Yousef Odeh, 66, spent a decade in an Israeli prison for her involvement in a 1969 attack that involved bombs planted at a crowded Jerusalem supermarket and a British consulate, according to a federal indictment. Only one bomb — one of two placed at the supermarket — exploded, killing the two people and wounding several others. Israeli authorities have said the attacks were planned by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

An Israeli military court sentenced Odeh to life in prison in 1970, but she was released 10 years later in a prisoner exchange with the Popular Front. Israel released 76 prisoners in exchange for an Israeli soldier captured in Lebanon, according to Odeh’s indictment.

But U.S. authorities accuse Odeh of failing to mention her conviction and time in prison on immigration papers when she came to the U.S. from Jordan in 1995 and before she became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2004, the indictment says.

Odeh was arrested Tuesday morning at her home in Evergreen Park, just southwest of Chicago, according to prosecutors.

Odeh works as an associate director at the Arab American Action Network, a Chicago-area nonprofit group that advocates for new immigrants and tries to combat anti-Muslim and anti-Arab prejudice, according to its director, Hatem Abudayyeh.

Abudayyeh was one of 23 Palestinian and left-wing activists in Chicago, Minneapolis and Grand Rapids, Mich., whose homes were raided by the FBI around 2010. The government has divulged almost nothing about the investigation since, and no one has been indicted.

The Arab American Action Network has some ties to, who else, Barack Hussein Obama.

During his Illinois state senate years in the mid- to late 1990s, Barack Obama was a lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School, where he became friendly with Rashid Khalidi, a professor of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. Obama and his wife were regular dinner guests at Khalidi’s Hyde Park home.

Placing the colonial boot on the Arab foot

By Lyn Julius

It’s been 46 years since the late French Marxist scholar Maxime Rodinson published his influential essay, and later book: “Israel : colonial settler state? ”

Reinforced by Israel’s 1967 ‘occupation of Palestinian territories’, and its auxiliary Apartheid myth, ‘Israel: colonial settler state?’ cemented the trope that Zionism was a European movement to displace the native Arab inhabitants of Palestine.

Now another French historian, Georges Bensoussan, threatens to stand the notion of ‘Jewish colonialism’ on its head: it is the Jews who lived under Muslim rule who were the true victims of colonialism.

His book, “Juifs en pays arabes: le grand deracinement 1850 – 1975 “ published in 2012 in French, examines the reason why the Arab world was emptied of its Jews in barely a generation. Since most fled as refugees to the Jewish state from the Arab and Muslim world and now constitute at least half Israel’s Jews, the question has huge implications for the Israel-Arab conflict.

Moroccan-born Bensoussan, who made his name as a Holocaust historian, argues that the Jews have been colonised thrice over.

Bensoussan’s great achievement is not just to blow out of the water the myth of Arab-Jewish coexistence predating the creation of Israel, but unfashionably to place the colonial boot on the Arab foot.

Since publishing his book, Bensoussan has had to contend with bien pensant denial (the prevalent post-colonial assumption is that the third world victims of western colonialists can never be seen as oppressors in their own right). He has met resistance from both Arabs and Jews.

Arab historians blame the Jews for causing their own suffering. Jews who deny Arab antisemitism usually lived a charmed life in the European quarters of Arab cities. Bensoussan cautions that reminiscence makes for unreliable history.

All in all, Bensoussan has dropped a bombshell of a book. A sovereign Jewish state in the land of Israel begins to look like the liberation of a colonised, indigenous people from 14 centuries of subjugation. Will Bensoussan have the impact on western intellectual thinking that Maxime Rodinson had, 46 years ago?

Muslim History 101

By Mike Konrad

…The 2000-year-old Dead Sea scrolls — which predate Mohammed by at least seven centuries — are ignored. How the Muslim scholars deny that is beyond belief; but they do.

Roman coins bearing the words IVDEA CAPTA (Judea captive) commemorating the destruction of Israel from the First Jewish War were struck for 25 years in many denominations.

[A]t least 48 different types are known.

Somehow, Muslims ignore this, and claim the Jews are not native to the area; but are instead Europeans.

Most amazing is how Muslims ignore that Mohammed died four years before the forces of Islam even arrived at the gates of Jerusalem in 636 AD. The city would not capitulate until 637 AD. There were no mosques in Jerusalem during Mohammed’s lifetime. So what mosque could Mohammed have even visited during his night journey?

The Muslims ignore all this and rename Jerusalem Al Quds as if it were always Muslim…

…Finally, there is the insult — not merely to Jews, but to the heritage of the world — that was allowed when the Muslims were permitted to use bulldozers to dig out space for the new Al-Marwani mosque, constructed underneath the Al Aqsa (Southern) Mosque in the Temple area known as Solomon’s Stables. Solomon’s Stables is an archeological treasure which should have been excavated by nothing bigger than a dental pick. The Muslims trucked the debris to a Kidron Valley dump.

The Waqf authorities claim that the Temple Mount was an ancient mosque dating from the time of Adam and Eve … Jewish Virtual Library

Already volunteers, affiliated with Bar Ilan University, sifting through what the Muslims have dumped as trash have discovered artifacts which prove a Jewish priority to the area. This is sacrilege of the first rank, not merely to the Jewish religion, but to secular history — and few in the media have ever mentioned this criminal archeological atrocity which shows the utter contempt Muslims hold for the history of others.

Ironically, incompetent engineering of the excavation has weakened the Southern Wall, and endangers the structural integrity of the southern end of the Temple area, which may result in the destruction of the Muslim structures should a major earthquake strike.

Already, the Muslims have blamed the Jews for this.

Muslim claims are not merely false, but outrageous lies. They are easily refuted by anyone who has common sense.

Whatever the political claims on the city, Islam has absolutely no valid religious claim to the Temple Mount at all. Islamic claims are bald-faced lies, and Muslim academics must surely know this.

Why Muslim academics do not speak up could be a subject for another article.

Egypt, Hamas and the White House?

by Dr. Michael Youssef

We don’t often think of Hamas and the U.S. government as having anything in common. But in recent days, the terrorist organization and the White House have shared a common perspective: an enthusiastic support for the result of the Egyptian presidential election.

Last week, the White House and Hamas were united in their enthusiastic congratulations to Dr. Mohammad Morsi, the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood candidate. Morsi had just been elected president, and the Western press had hailed the vote as the first free election in Egyptian history.

But free it was not. In many small towns, election officials turned away Christians from voting because they knew they would vote for the non-favored candidate. In addition, the printer of the ballots claimed he had been paid 800,000 Egyptian pounds to pre-mark nearly two million ballots for the Muslim Brotherhood candidate.

However, the candidate should have never been on the ballot. Last year, the Muslim Brotherhood promised to never run a candidate for president, but they didn’t keep their word. They also promised to run candidates in only some of the districts, but they didn’t keep that promise either. That is why the Egyptian Supreme Court dissolved parliament.

Those are just a few examples of how the Muslim Brotherhood made a mockery of the so-called free election. It would have been more appropriate to call it a Hamas-like election.

During the past 16 months, I have often written about how, like Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood would hold a “one man, one vote, one time.” Islamists do not understand democracy. It is completely alien to their DNA, and, by default, against the Sharia law. But to pacify naive governments and press in the West, they felt compelled to hold an election. It will be the last.

Dr. Mohammad Morsi, the newly “elected” Egyptian President, made many controversial statements in Arabic during the short campaign. Here are some of the points he made:

  • Their capital shall be Jerusalem
  • They will honor international treaties, but only if the treaties serve their purpose
  • Sharia should not be feared
  • In his speech after the “election,” Morsi made it clear that he must obey Allah and apply his Sharia
  • The 11 million Christians in Egypt may stay as long as they pay the Jizya (a penalty paid by non-Muslims in an Islamic state)

One of the White House’s most tragic missteps occurred in February 2011 when one of President Obama’s national security advisors testified before Congress that the Muslim Brotherhood is a secular organization.

After spending 30 years studying Islamic groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood, I can only assume that a statement like that would make Hassan al-Banna (who founded the Muslim Brotherhood) and Said Kotob (who co-opted the principals of the Wahhabi Islamic movement into the Muslim brotherhood) turn in their graves.

Even a child can look at the Muslim Brotherhood flag, with the two crossed swords and the words, “Get Ready,” and understand that they intend to destroy any semblance of secularism.

When will the West learn that ingratiating themselves to Islamists in hope of encouraging moderation is pure ignorance? It will ultimately boomerang ever so severely. When that happens, may God have mercy on whatever is left of the West.

Bill Federer: 1,400 Years of Political Islamic Conquest Explained

Bill Federer spends 60 minutes explaining how we got from an illiterate 7th century pedophile to the threat of political Islam today. One of the most succinct presentations on political Islam you will hear.

“In spite of being involved in a war on terror, most Americans know little about Islam, the Qur’an and the life of Mohammed. Within just 100 years of Mohammed’s death, his followers conquered the lands from the Indian Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean, including North Africa, the Holy Land, Persia and Spain.  Now we ask: “What will the political forces within Islam mean for the future of the world?” In Political Islam’s War on the West, William J. Federer leads a fascinating adventure through time as he recounts the events, personalities and conflicts that form a cohesive picture of the struggle between Islam and the West.”

If the Obama administration wants to soften its image among Israel supporters as being questionably interested in Israel’s interests, then refusing to describe Jerusalem as Israel’s capitalwas probably not the way to do it. In a press conference today, State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland did exactly that, to the consternation of many reporters who repeatedly kept trying to clarify her remarks, only to be repeatedly stonewalled. The Weekly Standard has a transcript of the exchange, of which the relevant passage is as follows:

Q:  Is it the view of the — of the United States that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, notwithstanding the question about the embassy — the location of the U.S. embassy?

MS. NULAND:  We are not going to prejudge the outcome of those negotiations, including the final status of Jerusalem.

Q:  Does that — does that mean that you do not regard Jerusalem as the capital of Israel?

MS. NULAND:  Jerusalem is a permanent-status issue.  It’s got to be resolved through negotiations.

Q:  That seems to suggest that you do not regard Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.  Is that correct or not?

MS. NULAND:  I have just spoken to this issue –

Q:  (Inaudible.)

MS. NULAND:  — and I have nothing further to say on it.

Q:  You’ve spoken to the issue –

MS. NULAND:  Yeah.

Q:  — but (haven’t answered ?) the question….
