Debbie Riddle and the Death of ALAC

In her campaign literature, Rep. Riddle claims to be a conservative champion, and a vocal opponent of…the imposition of Sharia Law in our judicial system.

That’s laughable.

Riddle’s primary opponent correctly notes that Debbie Riddle voted with Democrats and
killed the American Laws for American Courts (ALAC) Bill, which would have
banned radical Islamic Sharia law from being used in Texas’ courts. ALAC had been
perfected by top Constitutional lawyers and had overwhelming support among Conservatives and plenty of votes to pass.

Representative Riddle loves to speak about her conservative values, and claims to hold conservative positions.  She has badly let down her constituents by killing the ALAC bill in 2015.

The moral of the story: Don’t be fooled by Riddle’s words.  Just look at her actions, and take note of her record.
