Lamar Consolidated ISD chooses poorly

-Rosenberg, TX

There was a school board meeting Tuesday night in Rosenberg.

About 8-10 members of the public were first on the agenda. These men and women came to the microphone, introduced themselves, and gave stirring testimonies in support of Foster High School teacher Herby Woolverton.

Mr. Woolverton had been involved in a controversy since giving his senior government class an eight page handout about Islam. From the Houston Chronicle: “The eight-page handout a Richmond high school teacher gave to his senior government class asserted that Muhammad was a “false prophet” and that Islam is “an ideology of war.”

The document handed students on March 27 so frightened one Muslim girl in the class that she now is reluctant to attend. The student’s family, said Mustafaa Carroll, executive director of the Houston Council on American-Islamic Relations, also fears retaliation…

.”‘ Fears retaliation? Oh, please.

Many of the speakers at the board meeting had been former students of Mr. Woolverton, or have children who have been students. They all gave glowing reports of this teacher, saying he was the best teacher they’d ever had, he taught them to think for themselves, he was a true educator, etc.

These folks were very angry with the school board for their complete lack of support for this excellent teacher. One man was also angry that the board is “catering to a tiny minority of the population”, rather than the school population as a whole, and said “it’s all downhill from here.”

There was a standing room only crowd, the majority of them in support of Woolverton. There was rousing applause and even some standing ovations after each speaker. Have to wonder if the board members feel they made a serious mistake?

Terror related, Hamas supporting, unindicted co-conspirator and Muslim Brotherhood affiliate CAIR was represented. (With all that baggage, why in the Sam Hill does anyone even listen to CAIR?) ruthien

Ultra-sincere, deeply righteous CAIR spokeschick Ruth Nasrullah was interviewed during the evening.

If I heard her correctly, she was asked about a statistic from Woolverton’s handout: “38 percent of Muslims believe that people who leave the faith should be executed.”  She seemed to pooh pooh this statement, saying there is no basis in fact for it.

The Muslim site “Islam Question and Answer” makes it clear that the penalty for apostasy is indeed death.  “If a Muslim apostatizes and meets the conditions of apostasy – i.e., he is of sound mind, an adult and does that of his own free will – then his blood may be shed with impunity. He is to be executed by the Muslim ruler or by his deputy – such as the qaadi or judge, and he is not to not be washed (after death, in preparation for burial), the funeral prayer is not to be offered for him and he is not to be buried with the Muslims. The evidence that the apostate is to be executed is the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “Whoever changes his religion, execute him.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 2794). What is meant by religion here is Islam (i.e., whoever changes from Islam to another religion).”

Ruth seems to misunderstand her religion. Have a look at the eight page handout if you get a chance. On the whole, it looks to be mostly accurate- if anything, it’s too kind. If the above handout link does not work, try this.

  1. Okay I read the whole article and I am baffled, are ppl actually trying to defend a professor handing out a paper that states that “Muhammad was a “false prophet” and that Islam is “an ideology of war.” Is like handing out a paper that states that every women found with forbidden texts deserved to be burned as a witch, or that killing a Muslim/a non believer will grant you a place in heaven (reference to the Christian crusades). Is this for real? Islam is not about war, we are focusing on the extremist and it’s sad that a profesor wants to spread this ideas of hatred to his students. Much more how the board assistants want to disregard the rights of a minority and that we should focus more on the majority?

  2. He was doing his job teaching kids about government. In some countries they are governed by their religion, this was his perception, and maybe not in the basic curriculum, but going above and be and is what a good teacher does. Being insecure about your personal faith shouldn’t be an issue being their is separation of church and state here in the US. He wasn’t rounding up a posse, lol is.

  3. CAIR fears retaliation?? Surely you jest? CAIR? You do mean the CAIR that is the terror related, Hamas supporting, unindicted co-conspirator and Muslim Brotherhood affiliate CAIR right??

  4. The Lamar school board members are obviously woefully ignorant on Islam–WOEFULLY!!!! Therein lies the rub. The state of Islam is even worse than that. They are slaughtering Christians and Muslims they deem to be “not Muslim enough” in a type of purification process. Additionally, Imams and universities have issued guidelines for cannabalizing Christians with many rules and parameters for “who” and “when” it is permissible to eat the human flesh. Barbarians–definitely. They are also destroying 4500 year old relics, statues and structures that can never be replaced from the birthplace of civilization.

  5. Reblogged this on Stop The Islamic INVASION Of America and commented:
Any American that does NOT stand up against the Satanic cult of Islam is a TRAITOR to America.

    • Okay, first of all, America is a continent not a country. Second of all, you would be the traitor to the country that was established with one of its pillars as giving freedom of religion, or have you forgotten your history? Educate your self more before judging others, you have no right to deny someone to believe or not believe on any god of their liking, much the less repress them from persuing their faith. And to support someone who wants to implant this hatred in the mind of young students is saddening, instead of teaching respect and tolerance, he is creating hate and discrimination, that in my book, is a bad proffesor.

      • Your an idiot! I believe in teaching the Truth! You can worship whatever religion you choose to, just don’t try to push it on us, and don’t try to LIE about being a peaceful religion. Islam is a satanic cult of rape, torture, pedophilia, and death. The teacher should be given a medal for teaching the Truth!! He is not implanting anything in the students minds but Truth and Reality. Stop trying to take over our schools.
