Islam, a peaceful, tolerant religion?

As the mindless violence plays out in Afghanistan – over inadvertent burning of Korans – it’s timely to re-examine the “peaceful” and “tolerant” religion of Islam. Following Obama’s claim his apology restored calm, two more U.S. military personnel were murdered. How peaceful is that?

Many of those perpetrating the senseless violence have read little of the Koran. They’re dependent upon their Imams who interpret the Koran to incite them to violence.

As for tolerance, Muslims continue their plans for a mosque at 9/11 “ground zero”. Originally, they intended to name it the “Cordoba Mosque” identical to the mosque established in Spain when Muslims conquered that nation.

Muslims claim “religious freedom” allows them to construct mosques anywhere in the U.S. they choose. Several hundred have been built since 9/11. How many Christian churches or Jewish synagogues have been constructed in Saudi Arabia, Iran and other Islamic countries during that time? The answer: “few, if any” because, proselytizing of Muslims is forbidden.

In Afghanistan, medical missionaries – who served Afghans diligently for years without controversy – were ambushed and murdered on baseless proselytizing charges. Any Muslim – who dares to renounce Islam – is subject to death as are adulterers and homosexuals.
